Salvation - Gospel Basics
“If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from death, you will be saved.” (Romans 10: 9-10)
Salvation is the deliverance from sin and its consequences. It is an internal transformation given to us from God alone, in which He washes away your sin, gives you a new heart, and plants His Spirit within you. This act of regeneration gives us assurance of heaven.
The only way to be sure of heaven is to have the righteousness of Christ imputed into you through faith, alone, in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. There are no works or good deeds anyone can do to earn a spot in heaven! Eternal salvation is given by grace alone as a free gift from God as a result of your faith in Jesus’s atonement on the cross. Jesus took our sins upon Himself and gave us His righteousness in return! It’s that easy!
We need to look at salvation as a saving act done once, by Jesus, but lasting for eternity.
In the past, we have been saved from the penalty of sin. Since the “wages of sin” is death (Romans 6:23), Jesus set us free from the eternal penalty (hell) of sin. This is our justification.
In the present, we are being saved from the power of sin. Since all sinners are “slaves to sin” (John 8:34), Jesus set us free from Satan’s grip on our sinfulness. As we walk with the Spirit’s guidance, we become more like Jesus every day. This is our sanctification.
In the future, we will be saved from the presence of sin. Jesus will eternally eliminate sin and we will share His glory in heaven. (Romans 8:30). Christians live each day with this hope in a future without sin and its consequences. This is our glorification.
With our salvation being a loving act (dying and rising) by Jesus that makes us righteous in God’s eyes in the past, present, and future, we as Christians can BE SURE that we will never lose our eternal destiny.

Christian Faith - A Must Read Book

What is the best hope for mankind, given the condition of the world we now live in? Actually, it is "forgiveness". There is no way that man has hope without God's forgiveness. This book focuses on the unfolding of God's intent to forgive man, regardless of his sins; if there is a change of heart, or simply a repentant state of mind.
This book covers the lives of many individuals within the scriptures who experienced the forgiveness of God after great and shocking acts of evil. It shows us that there is still hope for us today. For the Lord has said unto us; "Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD, Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool."( Isaiah 1:18,19).
